My Roommate and the SACKING!

So, I went down to Pakse in order to see where we will be teaching and possibly renting a house. HOWEVER, when I came back early Monday morning, arriving at 6am and very groggy from a somewhat sleepless night of rocking in a sleeper bus, I found my room in disarray! First thought was that someone has broken into my room to take something... but after further inspection, I found that my clothes were hanging on the pictures and lamps in an orderly fashion. Also, the bed was moved out from the wall; the refrigerator was turned around and all the other furniture was stacked around it... not exactly the work of thieves.

PLUS, I found this note next to a small gecko.. "Your new roommate" (See picture below):

Now, I was not in a very good mood (long story, but I had to share a small single sleeper-bus bed with a VERY questionable person whose male identity was in severe question) and very tired... so, it took me a little while to fully enjoy the prank (done by two individuals whose names will not be revealed... just their pictures!!!)

They even look guilty!!!

My roommate, however, was not so fortunate through all this sacking business! He was a great roommate; getting mosquitoes that would try to bite me; never imposing or getting huffy over sleeping or bathroom issues; he was also the only roommate I've had my entire time in ELI... THE ONLY ROOMMATE! And he was dead when I got there... murdered more like it! There are no words to express my sorrow...

...except that a smaller gecko replaced him a few days later.
